Have you ever noticed all the crazy names you call your pets sometimes? Maybe it’s just me, but I tend to use all kinds of silly terms of endearment much more often than I use Sadie’s actual name. Scientists say that the average dog can learn about 150 words. I feel like I’ve probably used up at least half of that with all of the silly names I call Sadie. Today I’ve decided to share a list of some of the nicknames I use for my dog.
Doodle Bug (I hate bugs more than I can explain, so I have no idea why I sometimes think it’s cute to call my dog a bug)
Doodle Bear (Remember that toy? I used to love it as a kid and every time I call Sadie that the commercial jingle plays in my head)
Yorkie Doodle Doo
Munchkin (which is Sadie’s official middle name as it was the name the breeder called her)
While taking these photos of Sadie, I couldn’t get the song America the Beautiful out of my head. It may not be the fields of grain described in the song, but the way the light was hitting this section of a local park really made me think of amber waves of grain.
