Oh no! Sadie’s been swallowed whole by a shark! Wait a minute… is that shark pink?? And fluffy?? That’s right, Sadie is the proud owner of a dog house/dog bed in the shape of an adorably mean pink shark! It’s the perfect way to celebrate all the toothy fun of Shark Week!

Who says dogs can’t help out around the house? Sadie is super helpful when I try to make the bed. Like in these photos, Sadie is doing a wonderful job making sure the pillows don’t escape before I need them again. Plus I get the added bonus of warm pillows with a side of dog hair at no extra charge. Are everyone else’s pets just as helpful as my Sadie?

This week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme is foolish. To go with this topic, I would like to share a few photos of what I think is Sadie’s most foolish habit – finding the most uncomfortable place for a nap. In these two photos, Sadie has worked hard to move all of the comfortable options out of the way to get to that cold, hard, wooden flooring. Why sleep on one of two dog beds or a nice soft carpet or even a comfy human bed when you can nap on some bamboo? I know dogs usually pick the floor when looking for a cool place to lie down, but Sadie will sometimes sleep like this in the middle of a blizzard in winter. To me this is the epitome of foolishness – I just don’t get it.

The weather is getting colder around our house, and where Sadie had been looking for a cool floor to sleep on, she is now looking for warm, cozy spots.
