Sadie is happy to celebrate Groundhog Day today! In her opinion, any holiday that focuses on animals is worth celebrating. Also any holiday involving presents. And any holiday involving special food and treats. Ok, so Sadie just likes celebrating in general, but that doesn’t make Groundhog Day any less important. I mean who could resist a rodent that can tell the future?
Today is Chinese New Year and Sadie wanted to show off a piece of art to celebrate. This year is considered the year of the rooster. Since Sadie was born on a farm, she used to love to run and play with the chickens and roosters. She just couldn’t miss the chance to welcome the year of her old friends by celebrating with her special headband.

There are twice as many reasons to celebrate cats today! Not only is today the weekly Caturday Art blog hop, but it’s also National Cat Day here in the US! Usually on Caturday I show off some digital art of Sadie, ignoring the fact that she’s a dog. But this week I felt we really needed to embrace the spirit of cats. So in honor of National Cat Day, Sadie dressed up in her black cat Halloween costume to pose for these portraits!

Tomorrow here in the US we celebrate Grandparent’s Day. While not as popular as Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, I personally think Grandparent’s Day is an equally worthy holiday to honor important family members. Unfortunately none of my Grandparents are still with us, so instead we use this day to celebrate my parents, who are Sadie’s Grandparents.
