Black and White and Bokeh

This week’s Pet Photography Challenge theme was black and white. But I’m still trying to work on my technique from the bokeh challenge last month. So I thought I would try to combine the two and see how Sadie looks in black and white and bokeh.

Bokeh – #52Snapshots

The theme for this week’s 52 Snapshots of Life Challenge is bokeh. At first I thought this word had something to do with polka dots or Bohemian style, but I decided to check the dictionary just to be sure. Turns out bokeh in photography is about creating a blurred background effect. Some bokeh photography looks absolutely amazing, but I haven’t quite perfected the skill yet. I did take the bokeh-looking background photo of my Christmas tree last year, but I had to Photoshop Sadie into it. Bokeh is definitely a style I plan on getting more practice with.
