A Nice, Comfy Bucket?

So over the weekend I was getting everything ready for a barbecue and searching in the closet for things I haven’t used since last Summer. I took out one of those plastic bucket/tub things that you use to put ice and drinks in to carry them outdoors and placed it on the floor while I continued my search. Sadie had been hovering near me, wondering what I was up to, and immediately pounced on the bucket. She kept circling it, sniffing it, and poking at it with her paws. Then Sadie got frustrated. She wanted to sniff the bottom of the bucket, but she couldn’t quite reach. Every time she put her paws up on the side to try and reach her head inside, the thing would start to tip over and she’d scoot back until it stopped moving. After three or four tries Sadie started barking at it, as if yelling at it to stay still.

Finally I decided to be helpful and picked Sadie up and put her in the bucket. I thought she’d sniff around in it for a minute and then whine to get out. But after a thorough inspection, Sadie decided the bucket would make a nice place for a nap, and promptly fell asleep.
