Let It Snow

We’re coming to the end of January now and here in this part of NJ we have hardly seen any snow. But apparently that will change this weekend with the arrival of a big blizzard. I’m honestly looking forward to some good snow fall. Yes, it will be annoying once the cars need to be cleared off and the sidewalks shoveled. But since it’s the weekend, all the manual labor can be scheduled for Sunday, leaving Saturday free to enjoy all the wonderful parts of a snowstorm. Sadie and I can run around and play in the snow. We can build a snowperson or snowdog or snowpenguin. We will definitely play some snowball catch. And when we’re cold and tired we can curl up under a blanket by the window and watch the peaceful flakes fall.

Snowman Surgery Part 1

This week we took down our winter-related decorations in hopes that winter would take the hint and finally leave. Since it is currently snowing outside once again, clearly that plan did not work. Anyway, when we took in our lighted snowman I noticed that some of the lights were burnt out. It seemed that a little snowman surgery was required. So I took the snowman apart on the living room floor and began testing the lights. Sadie of course had to come over to investigate what I was doing on the floor. She sniffed around for a while as I worked on the lights, but once she stood up on the snowman and smiled at me I just had to go get the camera. So here are the photos of Sadie “helping” me with my snowman surgery. Check back next Wednesday to see if the surgery was a success!
