Sampson is too people oriented and we would never even complete a lap. 🙂

Sometimes when weather prohibits us from walking I will hide treats, usually carrots and let them hunt for them, stimulating their mind (and nose) can be as tiring as walking. Also, sometimes I put a box with a treat in it and three or four empty boxes along with it and let them search that out as well.

We play in all weather too, sometimes not as long if it is too cold, but we head out and run around. Cold weather is lots of fun for us.

That is a great alternative. We use our unfinished basement a lot in this weather. Hubby sets up blinds with obstacles in the way and works on sending the dogs over them.
